Tuesday's fixture at Musselburgh has been abandoned due to frost.
Officials at the Scottish venue delivered the news following an early-morning inspection, from which the situation soon became clear.
Clerk of the course Anthea Morshead said: "It got down to minus 3C overnight and the forecast this morning is for it to drop a couple more degrees. There's another cold night forecast so we had no chance."
Morshead also confirmed an 8am inspection for Wednesday morning ahead of Friday's meeting.
She added: "We are due to race again on Friday, but, at the moment, things are looking pretty bleak."
