Officials at Newcastle have called a precatuionary inspection for 7.30am ahead of Monday's meeting.
Although the track is perfectly raceable at present, clerk of the course James Armstrong reports a slight frost to be forecast overnight.
He explained: "There are no problems at the moment, however the temperature is forecast to drop to 0C which would not be a problem, it's just when we have been forecast that before we have dropped a degree or two lower."
He added: "It is purely a precautionary inspection though."
