Mark Johnston dominated the totesport.com Derby Trial at Lingfield as he saddled a one-two with Dordogne and Hurricane Higgins.
Neil Callan seized the initiative aboard the 10-1 winner, setting out to make all and travelling well before starting to feel the pinch two furlongs out.
Stablemate Hurricane Higgins emerged to challenge, but he hung persistently left throughout the final three furlongs and went down by half a length, with Measuring Time back in third.
Neither of the principals holds the Derby engagement and Johnston is keen to point Hurricane Higgins at the King Edward VII Stakes.
