Ascot was the scene of a royal incident yesterday when furious trainer Dandy Nicholls squared up to the starter after his horse was withdrawn before the start of the Royal Hunt Cup.
Dandys' Bencoolen was one of three horses left at the stalls by starter Peter Haynes moments before the one-mile race.
Afterwards Nicholls aggressively confronted Haynes, calling him a 'p***k'.
