Saturday "BIG RACE" preview

Zacinto bids to further enhance his growing reputation when he lines up in the totesport.com Celebration Mile at Goodwood.

The Dansili colt was beaten just a neck on his final start as a juvenile in Doncaster's Champagne Stakes, but injury prevented him bidding for Classic glory at Newmarket, though Sir Michael Stoute slowly nursed him back to full health and he won on his return at this venue earlier this month.

Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager for owner Khalid Abdullah, said: "He worked nicely the other morning and is in good shape. It's a tough race, and he is certainly going to need to show more than normal improvement, but he is a horse we have always rated highly."

Gary Moore believes Bankable may improve for the outing as he has his first outing for the Sussex handler in the totepool Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor.

The son of Medicean has been plying his trade at the highest level on his last couple of starts, most recently finishing a fine third in the International Cup at Kranji.

Moore said "He's been doing pretty well and was quite tired when he came back from running well in Singapore. We gave him plenty of time to get over that - he has taken time to come to himself - but he is a pretty lazy work horse and doesn't do a lot at home."

"My concern for Saturday is the level of fitness I've got him up to, but his last couple of bits of work have been a lot better than what they had been in the early days."
