A rapidly progressive handicapper as a three-year-old - a season which culminated in him finishing fourth in the Cesarewitch - he made the transition to Pattern-race company the following year when winning the Lonsdale and Doncaster Cups.
Last season was interrupted by injury but he showed more of his old sparkle in a Group One in France on his final start, and Tregoning has had a clear run through the winter with him. However, like many in the yard, he has an inkling the six-year-old will come on for his first start.
