"The Man" Carls` "Lay Of The Day"
Roger Charlton expects Bated Breath to improve for the run in the williamhill.com Cammidge Trophy at Doncaster.
The Dansili colt failed to make the racecourse as a juvenile but soon made up for lost time last season. He won his first three starts before finding soft ground against him on his final two appearances at Newmarket.
"He made good progress last year and he's got the kind of physical scope and pedigree to continue his progress, I hope. There were valid excuses for his two Newmarket defeats and he's taking on horses with similar ratings and seems to be improving," said Charlton.
"I expect him to run well but like all my horses first time out he'll benefit from the run, he's not going to be 100% first time out but he's in good form."
