Royal Ascot...Watch Out For These Runners
Glen's Diamond has been supplemented for the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot on Friday.
Richard Fahey's charge landed the Dee Stakes at Chester and connections have stumped up the £14,000 necessary to add him to the field for the mile-and-a-half race, known as the Ascot Derby.
Nathaniel was second in the Chester Vase in May and he could try to go one place better and underline his status as a leading St Leger candidate.
Aidan O'Brien has the choice of four in Alexander Pope, Marksmanship, Regent Street and Seville, while Mark Johnston has the same option with Dordogne, Eternal Heart, Hurricane Higgins and Namibian.
Godolphin's Genius Beast stands his ground and Sir Henry Cecil is double-handed, with Glencadam Gold and one-time Derby hope World Domination as his possibles.
Unraced as a juvenile, World Domination won his maiden at Newbury in tremendous style before heading to the Dante at York, where he was fourth to subsequent Derby third Carlton House.
The Empire Maker colt went through his paces in Newmarket on Saturday morning and Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, said: "World Domination is fine. All the serious work had been done already, it was just a case of having a blow out, but he went very nicely. It will certainly be an interesting week."
