Al On Anna
Mahmood Al Zarooni has declared Anna Salai "fit and ready to go" ahead of her tilt at Classic glory on Sunday.
The highly-rated filly has her first start for Al Zarooni in the Etihad Airways Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh. Godolphin's daughter of Dubawi was switched from Andre Fabre's yard in Chantilly following a decisive length-and-a-half victory in the Prix de la Grotte at Longchamp in April.
Al Zarooni remarked: "Anna Salai has settled in very well and she is in good form at the moment. She is fit and ready to go. She is taking a step up in class but she is a good filly and very professional in her work. I am hoping that she can run a nice race on Sunday."
Racing manager Simon Crisford added on www.godolphin.com: "She broke her maiden in the Pattern race she won in France and the further she went, the better she was going. She stays well and, if the ground is not too fast for her, she should be very effective."
