News On Snow Fairy
Snow Fairy is to be supplemented for the Investec Oaks at Epsom on June 4 at a cost of £20,000 - and will be ridden by champion jockey Ryan Moore.
Ed Dunlop's daughter of Intikhab routed what looked to be a competitive field in the Height Of Fashion Stakes at Goodwood on her first start over 10 furlongs and connections have decided to take the plunge.
The handler said: "We've spoken, and as long as we are happy we will supplement her for the Oaks. The Goodwood race wasn't the original plan, we were going to run in the Michael Seeley at York but the ground was too firm."
He added: "But she won so well. We didn't know about her stamina prior to Goodwood and it will be the same again before the Oaks over a mile and a half, but there is hope on the dam's side.
"We've booked Ryan Moore to ride which is an added bonus and as long as we are happy and she seems well, - she seems to have come out of the race well so far - that is the plan.
"She didn't appear to be stopping at Goodwood and we were most surprised by her starting price at 12-1."
