Dick Turpin...with or without a mask!

Dual 2000 Guineas runner-up Dick Turpin will attempt to break his Group One duck and steal victory in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The Arakan colt was denied by Lope De Vega in the French version at Longchamp on Sunday after going down to Makfi at Newmarket earlier in the month, and trainer Richard Hannon is praying it will be third-time lucky at the highest level in June.

The Everleigh handler told his website, www.richardhannonracing.tv: "He ran his heart out at Newmarket, and he has done the same here. He might not win a Classic now, but he deserves to win a Group One, and he will take his chance in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot."
