Blue Jack Goes To Haydock
Blue Jack will aim to build on a promising start to his time with Tom Dascombe in Saturday's Betfred.com Temple Stakes at Haydock.
After winning a Newbury handicap on his first outing for the Cheshire trainer, the five-year-old came from a long way behind and from the wrong side of the track to be third in the Palace House Stakes at the Newmarket Guineas meeting.
Dascombe said: "We're planning to run and hopefully we'll be closer to the pace this time. We didn't have the greatest of draw last time. He appears to be improving, but he'll need to be."
Blue Jack will face a number of the same horses as at Newmarket, including Group One winners Equiano and Borderlescott, first and second at Newmarket, and respective fifth, sixth and seventh Elnawin, Total Gallery and Spin Cycle.
