Penitent will venture little further than William Haggas' Newmarket stable until some rain appears.
Cheveley Park Stud's gelding was a particularly impressive winner of the Lincoln at the end of March but has not appeared since.
"Will it ever rain?" pondered Cheveley Park managing director Chris Richardson.
"The last time he ran it was soft and it has hardly rained since. William keeps assuring me it will, so we will have to keep waiting."
